University Training Program: Join Our Upcoming Virtual Info Sessions
We’re excited to announce that Trinacria Theatre is officially launching promotion for our 2026 University Training Program, and we’re inviting students to learn more through a series of upcoming virtual information sessions.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
This program is designed for university students who are interested in gaining hands-on experience and one-to-one mentorship in Company Management, an often-overlooked career path in the arts and nonprofit world, while immersing themselves in Italian culture and language during their month-long stay in Sicily. Students will engage with the local community, support a company of international artists-in-residence, and assist with the production needs of the annual Trinacria Arts Festival.
This program is an opportunity to deepen your skills, experience an authentic slice of life in Sicily, and open new a new career trajectory. The training benefits not only those in performing arts or Italian studies, but also in fields such as hospitality, community engagement or organizing, cultural programming, human resources, psychology, nonprofit administration, or social justice.
We are particularly keen to provide this opportunity for BIPOC students and others that have been historically underrepresented in both Italian studies and the performing arts industry.
UPCOMING VIRTUAL INFO SESSIONS
To help students learn more about the program, we’ll be hosting two live virtual info sessions:
Brandeis University students
January 30
11:00 AM (EST)
UMass Amherst students (and students from any other universities who are interested)
February 10
3:30 PM (EST)
During these sessions, we’ll walk through the structure of the training program, expectations, benefits, and the application process, followed by time for questions.
If you’re unable to attend the live session, no problem—simply select “I’m not able to attend, but send me more info” on the RSVP form. We’ll send you the recording and additional details after the session.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
Full details about the University Training Program—including dates, curriculum, eligibility, and commitment—are available on the training page.
The final deadline to apply is February 27.
We encourage interested students to attend an info session and begin the application process as soon as possible. If you’re curious about being part of a global network while serving a local community, we’d love to connect with you.
